Meet Our Staff
Lydie Coleman, D.C.
Dr. Coleman graduated valedictorian of her class from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, MO. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Dr. Coleman has been working with Newton Whole Health since she moved to the area in 2002. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and with a variety of health concerns. She has specialized training in low-force and non-force chiropractic techniques to be able to work well with patients whose bodies can’t tolerate deeper bodywork. She also especially enjoys working with pregnant and post-partum women, TMJ disorders, and sports injuries. Dr. Coleman believes in taking a holistic approach to care. She works with a patient’s physician and in conjunction with other health care practitioners to achieve the best outcome for every patient. Dr. Jalette is a licensed chiropractor in the state of Massachusetts and is certified by The National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology. She then completed her doctoral studies at Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, California.
Throughout her studies, she participated in Palmer Sports Council, treating athletes in sporting events such as The Sea Otter Mountain Bike Classic and The Scottish Highland Games. Dr. Jalette performed her internship at a well-recognized sports chiropractic clinic in San Jose, California (treating many of the Ultimate Fighting Champions, triathletes, Ironman competitors, professional golfers, gymnasts and more). Both of these positions gave her the opportunity to work with high-level and elite athletes of all types. Dr. Jalette specializes in Diversified Technique, Myofascial Release Technique (MRT) and is a Certified Advanced Graston Technique Provider. Her participation in sports and dance at a young age lead her to chiropractic and soft tissue treatment as a means to improve function, enhance performance and reduce recovery time if faced with an injury. She was involved in sports such as gymnastics, ice hockey, softball and collegiate level Division I field hockey. She also danced for eighteen years with early foundations in ballet, jazz, tap and a strong focus on modern dance. Dr. Jalette’s affinity for sports and her desire to become an active part of a health profession that addresses the root cause of pain and injury motivated her to become a Doctor of Chiropractic. Sarenna Stein, LMT, NCTMB
Sarenna Stein, LMT is a licensed and nationally certified massage therapist trained in CPR/AED and certified in Standard First Aid. She is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and is a graduate of Cortiva Institute-Muscular Therapy Institute in Watertown, MA.
Sarenna provides therapeutic massage with the intent to improve body awareness, increase ease of movement, and decrease tension. She believes that a better understanding of the body’s anatomy can aid her ability to release soft-tissue restrictions and this belief has led her to a more in depth study of anatomy that has included cadaver dissection. She also has specialized training in myofascial release. She incorporates the most current resources, training and tools to develop complete individual treatment plans and self-care plans specific to a client’s needs and lifestyle. With a background in yoga, dance and martial arts, Sarenna has developed a unique, well informed style of touch. Claire Mitchell, LMT, NCTMB
Claire Mitchell, a graduate of Cortiva Institute, is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), and is nationally certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB).
After personally experiencing the benefits of massage therapy while battling an auto-immune disease, Claire decided to enter the field to help others achieve balance and to help them on their road to wellness. Claire believes in a whole approach to health and believes massage plays an integral role in aiding the body to begin to heal itself. Claire has a strong foundation in deep tissue massage, myofascial release and neuromuscular therapy and customizes each session to help each client reach their goals, whether it is to reduced tension, pain or increase movement. Devon Dopfel LMT, CPT, CES, PES
Devon Dopfel is a licensed massage therapist and graduate of Boston’s Cortiva Institute. She is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA). She is also a certified personal trainer (CPT), corrective exercise specialist (CES) and performance exercise specialist (PES) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and is certified in CPR/AED. Devon believes in a synergistic approach to health combining multiple disciplines of medicine, strength training and manual therapies including massage. She is fascinated by anatomy and the way the body works which allows her to address each client’s needs specifically and develop targeted treatment plans.
Devon is an extreme outdoor enthusiast. She enjoys rock climbing, hiking and very high altitude mountaineering. She has climbed in the White Mountains, the Alps, Colorado, summited Mt. Kilimanjaro and attempted Mt. Aconcagua in the South American Andes. Her dream is to one day summit Mt. Everest. She thoroughly enjoys helping her clients find and achieve their own wellness summits.
